IX: Hey Rennard, I'd say I hope this message doesn't wake you, but in truth I kind of hope it does.
IX: I only have time for a quick rundown, so here goes:
IX: We (our personal friend group) are all involved in some sort of cursed world-ending video game, and predestination has unfortunately revoked our ability to refuse.
IX: I've taken the liberty of placing various necessary machines in your house - the cruxtruder, pre-punched captcha card, totem lathe, and alchemiter. Your role begins with using them in a specific sequence to enter another reality.
IX: The specifics vary, particularly in the final step, and I apparently "have to" keep things vague, but I'm sure you'll figure it out.
IX: Also, somewhat related - would your dreamworld happen to orbit a planet called "Skaia," by chance? Your answer may further my understanding of what we're involved in.
IX: Please answer when you get to this, and good luck with your entry.

II: uh hi
IX: Oh, hey, one second.
IX: Alright, there. I guess that's as good a parking spot as any.
II: are you in the same dimension as zariyah i forgot to ask her
IX: Erm... Yes, but we're on different planets.
IX: We're still figuring that part out.
II: speaking of figuring that out i dont know much about derse (world my dreams arw in)or anything called skiaia but zariyah and i have already found out the dream place is real in some form
IX: I see... hm.
II: so this world ending game is real huh
II: it;s sverb wassn't it? i knew i shoudlnt have trusted it but i thought its just give me virus or something
IX: Yes, you should really get on your entry if you've yet to do so, and I should get back to exploring this place.
II: whats it like there anyway
II: jus tto know before i get there
IX: Well... I'm on the "Land of Circuitry and Frost."
IX: It's uh, really cold, and there's a lot of mostly-dormant technology of varying scale and function, often integrated into the environment itself.
IX: A bunch of roach people seem to live here, too - it seems a common interest among them is scavenging the leftover tech and trying to restore it to the best of their ability.
IX: In fact, I managed to get a motorcycle working again by zapping its power source with my taser, and the guy it belonged to was so moved by me restoring the tech that he just let me keep it.
II: whas a steal
IX: ...Um, I'm not sure how to explain the weird part, though.
II: my guy its all the weird part
IX: No, I mean... Okay, so: I realized a few miles back that my taser's kinda missing its batteries.
IX: As in, the compartment is vacant. There were no batteries in it at any point.
II: guess you lostem somewhere on the way
IX: But I haven't opened the compartment at all, and I literally used it for two big-ticket tasks throughout the day! This discrepancy is going to drive me up the wall.
II: eh dont worry about it.bmaybe it just forgot it was out of batteries
IX: I... don't think it works that way.
II: idk anyway good luck with that
IX: ...Thanks. You too with your entry.
IX: Later.
